Yes. Beneath the Garden is first and foremost a magazine that uplifts not only the writers we publish, but also the works that they were inspired by. When you submit, you are welcome to include a reasoning for how your work relates to film and/or literature.

We do not accept previously published works and translated works. We currently don’t have the resources to properly check if the translated works sent in are accurate to translation.

We are a Bi-Annual Magazine. Submissions will open up [December 1st - February 1st] & [July 1st - September 1st).

Everyone on our team are volunteers. We are working towards a future where we will pay our team. But for now, staff positions are on a volunteer basis with no payment.

All positions are fully remote! We are working on a CST timetable in Chicago, IL.
